As mentioned earlier, the vets don't know why cat endocrine alopecia develops. Hormones like testosterone, estrogen or hormone of the thyroid gland are among the leading suspects, though. Cats with the condition, you may need to start hormone therapy regime for combating terrorism.

Cats that eat the foods that they are allergic to the hair loss may occur spontaneously. So you might want to start your cat's food court to see if it helps relieve symptoms. You may need to start feeding your cat a different type of food.

Feline endocrine alopecia sometimes is treated with medications that are designed to grow your hair back. Although this is not always the preferred method of treatment for cats. These drugs can cause serious side effects in some cats. They can be toxic to the liver over time and also cause heart problems.

Cats can even develop other conditions like diabetes mellitus after taking these drugs. Some even experience changes in their behavior.
