Dog training generally involves the art of teaching them how to effectively perform duties that cannot be done naturally by any regular dog and even responding to commands by the dog owner. For dogs, learning is always achieved through any interactions with the environment done through different channels. The first channel is classical conditioning whereby the dog associates two different stimuli. Modification of dog behavior can also be achieved through sensitization, and the learning process is non-associative. The last method of learning by dogs is the operant conditioning, where an antecedent and its consequence are associated.

There are many different effective methods of dog coaching in the world, all these working towards changing the behavior of dogs. All the methods have their own good and bad sides, and they include; Koehler method, training according to the dogs relationship with the environment, negative reinforcements, clicker training and many more. In all these methods, the trainer is usually required to ensure that he/she understands the dogs personality, punishes and offers reinforcement at the right time, and he should also communicate the instructions regularly to the dog.

Trained dogs can offer entertainment and security as well as providing many specialized services like law enforcement, conducting searches and or even rescuing people. Obedience trials on dogs were first practiced in the US by the American Kennel Club and the majorly taught three fundamental commands which included lie down, basket and heel. This is done through the application of behavior analysis that uses the various events in these dogs surrounding to modify the behavior.

Dog coaching requires the use of behavior analysis that applies the use of various environmental events so as to modify the way a dog behaves so that the dog can assist in carrying out various tasks or just effective participation in domestic livelihoods. A trained pet dog is everybodys favorite, and dog coaching can be an interesting hobby.
