There are so many factors that come in to play. For instance, you must identify the breed that you want. There are so many breeds like Australian Labradoodles. Thus, you must decide on the breed you want. Other factors like finances and the environment you intend to raise up the pup in really matter. There are steps that you have to follow if you want to buy a puppy.

To start with, as mentioned earlier, you must decide on what dog breed you want. There are several breeds that you can find in AKC shows. Also, you can find several other breeds from local breeders. Research on various kinds and select the breed that you feel will be convenient for you. The labradoodles are among the best breeds that you can choose.

Contacting the breeder is usually the second step. Most breeders prefer contact by email. This is because they are usually busy tending to their pups. Thus, they might not be able to pick your calls. They can, however, respond to your email once they get time. However, if you may not know any breeder, you can search the internet or ask for referrals from friends and family.

Inform the breeder about what you want in regards to the dog. Be clear on the color, size, gender, coat, color, and timing among other special needs. Once you have submitted your request, you are required to pay for a consultation and reservation fee. Most facilities prefer checks over cash. The fee you pay will be included in your pup buying price.

However, you are advised to visit the facility physically. Thus, ensure that you have taken the time to go to the facility and check whether you are willing to invest in is worth it. Pay the consultation fee only if you are impressed with the facility. If not, look for a better breeder.

Consequently, the breeder will check your application to see if you qualify to own a pet. You will then be informed by email whether you qualify. In case you qualify, you will be officially on the pup waiting list. If you do not qualify, you will be informed about what you are missing or what documents you are required to submit.

Once the puppies are born, you will receive an email informing you of the same. You cannot, however, be allowed to visit the pups until they have reached six weeks, the time when they receive their first immunizations. This is because these pups are vulnerable to infections hence you can only visit them after they are inoculated.

You are allowed to pick up the puppy after around eight or nine weeks. However, you must submit your final payment, as well as the shipping fees first. Also, the new owner will sign a contract with the breeding facility regarding spraying the puppy. When the pup reaches seven months of age, you are required to take it back to be neutered or sprayed.
